Writing the Places That Raised Us:
Going Home with Maya Angelou & Wendell Berry

Workshop

In this workshop, we will explore the role of place, and how it functions in our writing. We will talk about time and events, memory and nostalgia—how the town we grew up in defines us, and spaces like yellow wallpaper, become characters in the stories we write.
