Each room—Virginia Woolf, Mary Oliver, Joan Didion, and Maya Angelou is named after a beloved writer and was selected and designed with her in mind.
The Bird’s Nest also includes a Master Suite complete with a king sized bed, small library/office space, comfortable seating, breakfast table, walk in closet, and master bathroom.
In addition to this, the Bird’s Nest includes a personal cottage (Wendell Berry), which is equipped with two beds, a small kitchen, and a full bath, and is available on a weekly basis.
The property also includes a cedar sauna and outdoor patio, complete with a modern grill, heated lamps and large sitting area.
Personal bathrooms, access to a laundry room, and storage space available upon request.
The Bird’s Nest is also home to Black Wing Kayaks, which offers rentals for single and tandem kayaks.

The Bird’s Nest Bed & Breakfast is located in Friendship, a small lobstering town in the heart of coastal Maine.
